While studying at the GdaƄsk University of Technology, I was fortunate to meet excellent, charismatic academic teachers along the way. It is to them, to a large extent, that I owe my current scientific position. I had the pleasure of personally meeting many world-renowned electrochemists and corrosion specialists. It was these contacts that were the driving force behind my research work.

Currently, I am at the stage of my professional career where summaries are made and the results achieved are analysed. Unfortunately, time blurs the memories of the past and the background of the actions and decisions made. That is why I struggled to motivate myself to reconstruct my academic path.

The beginning of my professional career was the formulation and corrosion testing of inhibitors and temporary protectives. The next period was the learning and development of research methods and their implementation in applied and basic research. The main stage is the construction of a research team, the creation of a didactic offer, and the development of cooperation with the industry.

In this contribution, I presented my scientific profile. Since each description is burdened with subjective assessments, I limited myself to listing and documenting my most important achievements, without unnecessary comments.

I presented the development of my scientific interests related to non-stationary electrochemical processes and methods of time-frequency analysis. Special emphasis was put on Dynamic Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy, a technique that I described theoretically and introduced into measurement practice.

I collected my most important, representative implementations and research works in the field of corrosion monitoring and diagnostics, protective coatings, and electrochemical protection.

The presented material is not a systematic, chronological record of my research work and didactic achievements. It aims to present the profile of my scientific interests and the diversity of completed utilitarian research work.
